Take a Personal Development Class this Winter – Everyone’s Doing It!
Setting aside time for self-development is seriously hot right now. From self-help books, to activities that bring you Zen, everyone is talking about it and it’s for a good reason.
While people may believe the stigma that working on yourself is self-indulgent, the endless benefits of self-help will turn this assumption on its head, and make you wonder why you didn’t start it sooner.
1. It allows you to focus, which will improve productivity
Putting aside time to fully focus on one task provides you with an improved sense of direction. Our world has become all about multi-tasking which has its benefits, but when you invest your full concentration into one thing, your thinking becomes more clear, which means you have clarity to properly prioritise other things in your life, since your brain isn’t going a million miles an hour.
2. It takes you out of your comfort zone
As the saying goes “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” Simply put, only when you stop letting your fears and anxiety hold you back, will you start to make those major breakthroughs in life. While these personal-development activities may appear small and trivial, the ability to tackle something which you may not be familiar with will provide greater motivation to tackle bigger tasks in your professional or personal life, which you may have been ignoring or putting off.
3. It helps you to get to know your true self
Self-development courses help you get to know yourself, since doing a variety of activities can help you assess your strengths, weaknesses, talents and passions. Even if the activities don’t strike a chord with you remember, comfort and growth cannot coexist. So embrace the discomfort and allow it to take you places. You never know what you could be missing out on by remaining complacent.
If these are benefits you want to soak up, make sure you check out our Winter Workshops. From Macrame, to Life Drawing, to Terramium Workshops, everyone will feel welcome to relax, have a drink and develop themselves, all whilst creating something special.
