How to Jazz Up Your Next Event

Whatever kind of event you’re planning… a big birthday party, a hens night, a conference or your special day, we know you want to put on a celebration that your guests will never forget. And we’re here to make sure they won’t!

Our stunning location, featuring panoramic harbour views, makes for a special event in itself but our lovely event spaces also provide the perfect canvas for your own unique touches.

Here’s 5 cool things people have done to take their event to the next level!

1. Samba Dancers

At Johan and Valery’s beautiful Watsons Wedding, they were joined by Samba dancers for their first dance as husband and wife. This unique addition was inspired by Valery’s South American heritage (as well as adding to the fun and excitement!). An abundance of fresh fruit was on show and our Top Deck space was decorated with large greenery installations, all contributing to the luscious, tropical wedding vibe. Most definitely a night to remember!

2. Espresso martini cart at your next conference

Why have an espresso when you could have an espresso martini! It’s just the afternoon pick me up you need after a hard day’s work. Here at Watsons you can request to have your very own bar cart brought to your conference room and watch one of our bartender’s concoct your favourite cocktail.

3. Balloons everywhere

Balloons are the perfect way to tie in your theme, from monochrome to bright pops of colour and pastels. The latter was definitely the case for Charbel’s 1st birthday and boy did it take the event to the next level! The themed cakes were a pretty cool addition, too.  Let’s hope Charbel has a great memory! But just in case, it’s lucky they organised a fabulous photographer to make sure the memories last a lifetime.

4. Margarita tastings

Margarita fan? Last year on National Margarita Day (yep it’s a thing) it was a Margie extravaganza. We’re talking tastings, ready-made margaritas served on ice buckets (move over beer) and of course your classics. Whatever your cocktail of choice may be, you can organise for it to be served on arrival to start your event with a bang!

5. Open air photo booth

Memories fade but photos last forever. As well as having a professional photographer, Brooke and Ben made their wedding photos even better by including an open-air photo booth (with props included, of course). Bring in the spontaneous poses, moustaches on sticks and silly glasses!
