Go Walkabout

Put on your active gear and climb the sandstone steps of The Gap for unsurpassed panoramic views of the ocean. For the keen, you can walk all the way to Bondi following the coastline but most enjoy walking to the classic Hornsby Lighthouse, chatting to the friendly locals and patting their adorable pups on the way. Whichever direction you take we promise remarkable views, lush greenery and fresh air.


Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Paddle Boarding along Watsons Bay is a must-do for all visitors. The calm currents and shallow waters are perfect conditions for beginners to get their balance and for those wanting to explore more of Sydney Harbour. Camp Cove

One of Watsons Bay’s hidden treasures… Camp Cove is an elusive enclave, just a short walk north from the hotel. The beach boasts pristine waters and forms the perfect setting for either a relaxed picnic with the family, or an adventurous snorkel. Whale Watching

From mid-May through to October, we are privileged to see the great migration of whales in the thousands as they make their way along the Pacific Ocean coast line in search of warmer water. Watsons Bay and South Head are a prime vantage point and just a five minute walk from the hotel; soak in the panoramic ocean view at The Gap and try your luck spotting Hump Back whales, Southern Right whales, Common Dolphins, Bottle Nose Dolphins and even Blue Whales!
