What our events staff are treating their Mum to this Mother’s Day

It’s that time of year again where we do something for our Mums to show her how much we love her!

We’ve spoken to a few of our team members to see what they have planned for Mum’s special day.  We all know the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach… so our team have a lineup of activities centered around food. From breakfast in bed and banquet feasts to long lunches with the extended family, we’re sure there’s an idea in here your Mum will love too!

Georgia, our Reservations Coordinator, has a long running tradition where she and her younger sister prepare their Mum a deluxe breakfast in bed. They go all out with ricotta pancakes, freshly squeezed juice, an assortment of fresh fruit and last but certainly not least, a *strong* cappuccino. Sounds like a pretty ideal start to the day!

Alexa, our Events Coordinator, is celebrating Mother’s Day from afar as her mum still lives in her home town, New York. That certainly won’t stop her from spoiling Mum… she’ll wake up to a big bunch of her favourite flowers (tulips!) right outside her door. Alexa may not be able to prepare breakfast for Mum herself but she’ll be right there on facetime and that’s what counts most to Mum.

Alice, another one of our Event Coordinators, plans to spoil Mum with a thoughtful gift. In the lead up to winter, Alice likes to buy something nice and cozy like a scarf or new dressing gown… Anything to make Mum feel like the queen she is! She will then meet up with her extended family for afternoon tea, before going to the cemetery to visit grandparents who have passed. It’s a tradition they’ve had for years and something that is very special to them.

Hattie, our Events Manager, is another one of our team members living far away from her fam. This year though, Hattie has given Mum the ultimate gift by flying all the way to the other side of the world to spend some quality time with mum in the UK. After all, time is the best gift you could give!

Kate, our Weddings Coordinator, plans to treat Mum to a girl’s spa date. What better way to enjoy quality time with Mum!

Sally, our Senior Marketing Coordinator, plans to treat Mum to a Lebanese banquet feast (drinks included, of course!) Sally and her Mum like to do things that are fun and a bit different so this definitely ticks their boxes. Who doesn’t love a long, boozy lunch!

Hannah, our Marketing Coordinator, plans to carry out her usual tradition of taking Mum to brunch in Bondi, followed by the famed Bondi to Coogee coastal walk. For a gift, she is opting for a massage voucher to ensure that Mum gets the pampering she deserves!

So there we have it! And that is only the beginning with other team members taking their Mums to a sporting match, bottomless brunches and others opting to stay at home, order pizza and watch a movie. Whether you decide to go out or keep it low key, we’re sure Mum will love it because it’s a gift from you.

If you’re looking for something special to treat mum to, it’s not too late to book into our 3-course brunch or lunch. Think panoramic Harbour views, seafood and fun vibes for a Mother’s Day she won’t forget!
