Start looking for a venue

After the engagement party dust has settled, it’s time to start looking at locations including your ceremony, reception and accommodation venues. A few favs of ours include Gibsons Beach for little slice of waterside I dos, followed by a Sunset Room reception and a night in one of our stunning rooms – have you seen them yet?

It’s time to go shopping!

Three to six months before the big day is around the right time to start thinking about your dream wedding outfit. This also gives you enough time to have alterations made if need be. Around this time you should also start thinking about locking in a few hair and makeup trials, before locking in your favorite stylists.

Finalise guest list and send out invites

Arguably one of the hardest tasks.. choosing a guest list. The sooner you start this, the better. It is also a good idea to give those travelling for your big day extended notice of your big day.

Plan styling and florals

Styling should be the next on the list. Once your theme is decided, styling and florals should come quite easily. This is also around the right time to start thinking about additional add ons such as your photobooth, DJs etc.
