Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Beach Club Pop Up!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Beach Club Pop Up!

For 9 action packed days, Watsons Bay Beach Club popped up on the sandy shores of Manly Beach for the Australian Open of Surfing!

Thank you to everyone who came over to Manly and enjoyed a calendar line-up of activities and mouth-watering eats & treats all while receiving the best views of the surfing competition!

Beach Club was deemed a tropical oasis on Manly Beach – the food delicious, the drinks fresh, the music pumping and the view breathtakingly good!  Decked out with Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel décor including our seaside-chic fitout clad with comfy lounge furniture complete with Basil Bang blue and white umbrellas – it was the perfect place kick back and relax with your mates, whether it was for an afternoon lunch or sunset drink.

Thank you to Joel Coleman for supplying his amazing artworks to display around the pop-up – Joel Coleman photographs the sea and beyond and his wonderful photographs are all on display in his Manly based gallery. The Pop Up was decked out with Sunnylife inflatables and Langdon provided us with their amazing cushions for our welcome boat – the perfect place to capture the ultimate selfie with friends! Check out the image below!

Our menu throughout the pop-up was inspired by Watsons Bay with a Manly twist. It included 4 pines beer battered fish & chips, specialty Hawaiian Poke, both veggie & salmon and coconut crumbed fish tacos – all going down a treat! To top it off, our homemade coconut and passionfruit soft serve topped with berries and popping chocolate candies was a house favourite. The perfect dessert to end a delicious meal!

The selection of drinks on offer were all perfect to have in hand while watching the action of the surfing competition or catching up with mates! From Pimm’s cocktails to 4 Pine beers, there was something for everyones taste buds. Frose Happy Hour was a hit! Who can say no to $5 icy cold delicious Frose?

Despite the weather, we put on an exciting and busy line-up of entertainment and activities over the 9 days that were enjoyed by all! The vibe in Beach Club was always amazing with our fantastic line-up of local DJS setting the tunes, whether it was an afternoon chill session on the deck or sunset jam.

The opening weekend of the Pop Up kicked off with a bang and saw crowds come out in force to enjoy delicious food & drinks all paired with live entertainment. Krafty Kuts and Chali 2na bought their Hands High tour to Beach Club – Fresh cocktails, crisp 4 Pines Beers, a stellar dancefloor and ocean view made for the perfect Sunday session.

Although the weather gods were not always on our side, thank you to our yoga partner Power Living and sorry to all our yogi’s who missed out on zen weekend beach mornings!

Live Sunset Spray Art Battles was a highlight of the week as we saw four incredible local artists creating custom pieces of art on Chilli Surfboards boards. With spray paints and paint brushes in hand, Ben BrownMitch RevsChris YeeKentaro Yoshida created amazing surf-board art with all four boards going up for auction and all profits going back to them! It was a great way to give back to the Manly surfing community.

$1 Oyster nights, movie screenings & rum + reggae, were just a few more of the activities that kept everyone entertained throughout the week as they watched the surfing competition unfold!

A big thank you to all our sponsors and to everyone who supported our Beach Club Pop Up at Manly!
